RSS - and abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication and sometimes (though rarely) as either Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary - is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other web features. RSS is a relatively new technology, popularly used in the weblog community, various Web 2.0 applications and by most major news services such as BBC, the Guardian, New York Times and CNN.

RSS feeds provide a very simple way of getting the latest updates made on your favorite websites. Bhlasen.com RSS feeds will deliver the latest additions to the site, keeping you abreast of the latest debates and information, saving you the trouble it would otherwise be to stay informed.

Using RSS feeds

•  Get a newsreader

This is probably the first thing you need to access RSS feeds. You can access you RSS subscriptions using stand-alone downloadable applications. The most convenient readers come as part of most email clients such as pine, MS Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird.

An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a web-based news reader, for example through broweser such as Firefox and Explorer. My Yahoo! And iGoogle also allow users to add RSS feeds directly to their personal pages. Browser-based RSS readers allow you to accesss your RSS subscriptions from any terminal, while email clients and stand-alone readers might also allow you to archive feeds from your RSS subscriptions

•  Using the Reader to access RSS feeds

Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to link your preferred news reader to your Bhlasen.com RSS feed. The box to the right shows the RSS feeds we currently offer. Simply copy and paste the url of the RSS feed to your newsreader or click on the link to access it through your browser.
